Associates with the Coweta Walmart location are giving back to their community this spring through the Walmart Spark Good program. Spark Good empowers local organizations to engage with customers and associates to support causes they care about.

The retail corporation believes that small actions lead to big impact, and Spark Good can be the force multiplier.

On Wednesday, April 3, approximately 16 volunteers from Coweta Walmart teamed up with Abundant Rain Ministries to help sack more than 700 meals to support families in the Coweta, Porter and Wagoner communities.

Store Manager Dalton Graham also presented the ministry program with a $5,000 contribution to help with its summer feeding program.

Graham said Walmart is now partnering with Deed to simplify organization verification for Spark Good programs. On the new Spark Good Associate Platform, nonprofits can now post volunteer opportunities for associates in the area.

The team also hosts bi-monthly Spark Good webinars and virtual help desk hours. Visit www.walmart.org/sparkgood for updates on topics and webinar dates/times.

“Walmart Spark Good is here to help with resources and tools that were designed just for you,” company officials say. “We’re here to help small acts turn into big impact for your nonprofit. Thanks again for all that you do for your community.”
